Item specifics
Condition: Used
On offer here are most the parts needed to build an 6bm8 / ECL82 push pull valve amplifier.
This was a very sweet sounding little amplifier that was housed in a badly botched chassis that was banned from my house when my kids became mobile. In an effort to improve it's aesthetics and safety I found a sturdy case from some I.T. equipment and set about rebuilding it, like many things around here the job didn't get finished. There are plenty of suitable schematics on the web for someone who is experienced with valve electronics [high voltages] to finish it off.
What do you get? all that's pictured!
  • 6x used 6bm8 Mullards, Philips
  • 1x 12ax7 Trigon
  • 1x voltage doubler type power transformer.
  • 2x output transformer
  • pre drilled chassis with Corian front panel
  • quality U.K.made tag boards
  • a bunch of sundry parts, Cap's resistors
  • if I find anything else suitable I'll post another photo and throw that in too.
Postage can be calculated at the Australia post website. The lodgement postcode is 7250, packed weight is about 4kg.

A: Hi, the amp was from Encels, it was a rebadged Cosmos, the company that made the transformers for Luxman I believe. The mains transformer is 240 volt primary and the secondary is made for a voltage doubler circuit, so about... Continue reading
