This is another unusual item.

How can I explain how it all happened.

Let me tell you a little about myself first

As you can see I have a motorbike apparel shop on Ebay

My trade is tailoress, but for the last ten years I have been working in the medical field.

And since 9 months I work on the chemo therapy ward in a private hospital in Brisbane.

Ever since I started working there I have been visualising a new design for a CHEMO HAT;

Almost all the chemo hats look the same and the other option for a patient is to wear a bandanna, which is very cold and most of the bandannas have a pattern, which doesn’t always suit the person.

Apart from that,…. the bandanna still shows the back of the neck as bald .. and it has a tendency to move.

“Real hair” wigs cost a lot of money and since the expenses while being sick are horrendous as it is, not everybody wants to spend a fortune on a wig that’s hopefully only temporarily. Apart from cost, most wigs look like wigs.

9 months this thing has been going around in my head until one day a lady said to me.(she is 76 years old)

“Well.. if I have to loose my hair and wear a wig, then I might as well make it look very obviously cheeky!”

There it was! The solution.!

This hat looks nice as a normal hat, but the little bit of hair coming from underneath the hat will definitely make a chemo patient feel more confident.

From a cosmetic point of view?

It all looks very real!!!!

      ANYWAY......

This was the story I wrote when I listed the first

"cheeky chemo hat"(see store)

more than a year ago now, and it has been a succes!

But...HERE IS THE NEW BIT!

This little number is based on my design of the UNDER HEMET cap in my motorbike apparel store

It's a top seller, mainly because it's made from such a good quality two way stretch cotton...very breathable

Available in black as well, but I made this one, as close as I could get it, from a skin colour

NOW YOU CAN WEAR WHAT YOU LIKE OVER IT

a hat, a cap,

or a scarf (see extra large satin scarves in my store),

There's a little ridge under the scarf, but my dummy has hair of it's own and I had to sort of hide it.

AND YOU CAN SLEEP WITH IT!

After your treatment just unpick the hair and give it to your bikie friend as an under hemet cap. (smiling)

This cap without the hair is very suitable for the man who has chemo therapy, he can sleep in it, protect his skin from the sun  or

just look like a bikie. lol
