The classic biography of one of the great figures of English history. 774 pages crammed full of the well researched and superbly written prose of Antonia Fraser who really does justice to the Lord Protector focusing on the person as much as the historical background. It's ex-school library with the usual stamps inside but in good condition generally. The dustjacket has a few tears and minor splits and is therefore taped at the top of the spine. the location of the library call number is still visible on the spine. A good sturdy hardcover copy overall (sorry for the blurred photo).
