300 PIECE IN WOODEN CASE


We simply couldn't believe our eyes when we stumbled across this wonderful item, a blast from the past indeed!  Upon further investigation it was found that although this wonderful teaching aid is generally no longer used in schools today, many still believe the cuisenaire system to be a valuable tool for teaching.  The concept of providing visual aid in teaching arithimatic has continued to be a popular approach since its initial development via the cuisenaire system by Georges Cuisenaire in the 50's. 


The cuisenaire rods of today, are not dissimilar to those of the past, still the same old coloured rods in 10 different lengths.  The application however has extended to not only mathematics & arithmetic, but in some instances for teaching literacy and also for using for building and creating! 


This particular set on offer contains 300 pieces and comes presented in a wooden box with plastic slide lid!
