Chinese Traditional Three Character Primer - Seal Script (Zhuan Shu) by Master Han Tin Hang

Chinese calligraphy comprises numerous cripts and writing styles and Zhuan Shu is one of the important scripts. The five basic strokes of Zhuan Shu (Seal Character Script) are : the horizontal, vertical, arc, dot and turn. The use of the brush is more simplified than the other writing scripts.

San Zi Jing is one of the most essential teaching materials of Confucian thought for Chinese children for centuries.It was written in couplets of three characters for easy memorization, it has served as a child’s first bit of formal education in China for generations.

Master Han Tin Hang, one of the important Zhuan Shu's master in China.

韓天衡 , 號豆廬。1940年生。蘇州人。1946年受父鈞銘公訓導，學習書法篆刻。1960年 從方介堪先生研習書法篆刻。1963年，師從謝稚柳、陸維釗、方去疾先生。作品參加西泠印社六十週年展。1981年任全國首屆書法篆刻展評委，作品多次參加國家級及國際展覽。並正式調入上海中國畫字為創作員，1984年任副院長。1985年國畫《吟鳥圖》獲日本國第十八屆全國精選水墨畫美術展優秀獎。1986年赴新加坡舉辦"韓天衡書畫印作品展覽"。1989年 被選為上海市書法家協會副主席。199年，應邀于天津藝術博物館舉辦"韓天衡書畫印作品展覽"。1991年，書畫印三件作品獲中國美協、中國書協、西冷印社聯辦之"當代書畫名家作品展覽"大獎。 被聘為上海交通大學兼職教授。書畫印等作品四件被大英博物館收藏。赴香港舉辦"韓天衡畫展"。1992年應邀赴日本靜岡舉辦個人書畫印展覽，並被授予靜岡市榮譽市民。1993年被選為西泠印社副社長。1994年出版《韓天衡畫集》。1995年所著《中國印學年表》一書獲中華人民共和國首屆辭書評比獎。先後共撰寫出版《中國篆刻藝術》、《天衡印譚》、《天衡藝譚》等著作十余本，出版《韓天衡印選》、《韓天衡書畫印選》、《韓天衡畫集》等畫冊十余本。現為上海中國畫院藝術顧問（一級美術師），中國書法家協會副主席，西冷印社副社長，上海美術家協會理事，上海交通大學教授。
