Callistemon 'Clearview Father Christmas' is a relatively new release and still uncommon in many nurseries. Released in 2003, Callistemon Father Christmas is a hardy, evergreen tall shrub which grows to around 3m tall with an open crown to around 2.5m wide. It has attractive pinky-bronze young foliage, and bears large, striking flower heads from spring to summer. The unusual bi-coloured flowers have off-white stamens grading to pinkish red at the base. The flower spikes can be 110 mm long and are very attractive.

Father Christmas prefers a sunny position with well-drained soil, and will benefit from pruning after flowering to form a dense screen.

Father Christmas will make a lovely avenue feature, a delightful stand alone feature plant, or can be pruned into a very attractive screen. The birds will love it, and so will you. This is a delightful new callistemon, get yours today.
