Canon BJC-85 portable printer for PC & MAC-USB,iRDA,PAR

Canon BJC-85 Portable printer with B&W head installed (colour & scanner capable when otional heads installed) for PC using Windows XP & below, WIN CE or USB MAC. This machine connects using USB cable, Parallel cable or an infrared port.

This printer is ideal for immediate print-out of discussed-details when consulting with a client away from from your office. It works with any laptop that has a infrared (irda) capacity and needs no wires or adapter and is only 1/2 the size of the yellow pages. It can also be used with any machine that has a USB parallel port. (NOTE: Vista does not have drivers to support this printer)

Options available for this printer (they just swap and click to install) are color print-head and scanner-head allowing the machine to become as versatile as your needs dictate.  Also for those without infrared capability : for under $15 (inc postage) an adapter converting USB to iRDA(infrared) that works with XP can be purchased on eBay (but buyers buy at rheir own risk). (I have tested some of these adapters using XP on a PC-buyers who need to buy an infrared port are welcome to more info on these adapters- phone 08 8364 3776). Battery packs are not supplied by Canon as standard for this model but it is offered by Canon as an optional extra.

This lot includes the color-capable printer with  black print-head and cartridge fitted It also includes the power supply, a new USB cable and a Parallel connection cable.  This printer has been tested for print quality, paper feed and correct LED operation It passes all tests. The printer and accessories have been fully tested and are in good condition both electronically and cosmetically.

This model comes with an in-built sheet feeder (30 sheets max) allowing print-out of envelopes, cards and documents up to A4 in size.
