The C&M crew begin their Yorke journey in the north focussing on the towns of Kadina, Wallaroo and Moonta, also known as the Copper Triangle. Here you'll find a blend of limestone buildings and modern estates, and learn of the Cornish connection involved in the copper mines during the mid 1800's. Further south you travel through vast fields of golden grain, see immense silos, huge wind farms producing green power and discover yet more fascinating local history. At the foot of the Yorke Peninsula, from Corny Point to Marion Bay, discover the spectacular coastal scenery of the Innes National Park, take a fishing charter and catch your dinner. Finally you return north through Edithburgh to Ardrossan and discover a maze of salt lakes, find a fabulous pie shop, go crabbing and watch spectacular sunrises over the St Vincent Gulf. You really will love the Yorke Peninsula. It has beaut fishing, fine food, brilliant coastal scenery and crabs for the crustacean lovers, while history buffs will adore the copper and windjammer past of the region.
