A luxe peacock black silk gown, long and sinewy, is slit up the center. The wide round low neckline detailed with tiny rows of quiet white beads and small copper sequins are again repeated at the edge of the short fitted sleeves. Then the wow! A magnificent peacock at the side of the hip is beaded in all its glory with long white bugle beaded fringe swaying rhythmically as you move. Measurements (all are taken flat across front): Shoulder to shoulder is about 14.5 inches. Sleeve length is about 9 inches. Sleeve opening is about 5.5 inches. Underarm to underarm is about 15.5 inches across. Bust is about 15 inches across. Waist is about 13.5 inches across.Band at waist is about 32 inches long and 2 inches wide. Hip is about 18 inches across. Front slit length is about 30 inches. Hem sweep is about 40 inches. Length from top to bottom is about 60 inches.

Marilyn Lewis, restauranteur, fashion designer, and movie producer, has always had a classic sense of style and a gift for knowing “when something seems right.’’ It is this mantra that has made her a successful entrepreneur and designer to celebrities like former First Lady Nancy Reagan and Dyan Cannon. Lewis launched her foray into fashion in 1966 with an initial 35 designs that caught the attention of Vogue’s legendary editor Diana Vreeland. The “Cardinali Look” became iconic when Marlo Thomas wore her designs in the hit TV show That Girl.
