Presented here for consideration is a magical Carlton Ware Apple Blossom 2 cup Teapot and Lid in a deep butter yellow colour-way. In its day Apple Blossom was one of the most popular of Carlton Wares’ range of Embossed wares. Originally produced in the late 1930's it was manufactured in the full range of shapes, it was that popular that when Arthur Woods tried to revive Carlton Wares flagging fortunes in 1975 this was the pattern they reissued.

This delight I am offering has the standard black stamped under glaze maker’s mark that was in use from 1935 until 1961. Impressed into the base is the shape number 1570/3

Dimensions

It measures in with a 19.5 cm (7.75") across the top from the edge of the handle to the lip of the spout and it stands 12 cm (4.75") tall to the top of the handle on the lid.

Condition

It is in EXCELLENT condition; with no chips, cracks, stains or repairs. The only evident crazing is to the white base – clearly visible in the makers mark photo. This magical tea pot has obviously never been used.
