Carved Plate
A carved plate made by Australian potter Malcolm Cooke.  

This is a beautiful  carved plate glazed with an Iron red glaze over porcelain body. 

Base stamped  MC

Size diameter  of mouth   310mm  height 35mm





Malcolm Cooke was born in Australia in 1951.  He started working with ceramics at the early age of 17.  After finishing a diploma of Fine Arts at the Bendigo Institute of Technology - today La Trobe University, Malcolm trained with the old generation Bendigo potters.  


An artist with 40 years experience as a potter, Malcolm Cooke has extensively shown his work.  He is represented in many national and international ceramic collections including Taipei Fine Arts Museum, University of Austin Texas,  Queen Victoria Museum in Tasmania, Castlemaine Art Gallery, Australia.
