This solid and sound lounge suite needs some TLC to restore it's former elegant glory.

My parents bought this suite in perfect second-hand condition in the sixties and it was reputed to be pre WW2, but I would guess 1940s or 50s.
The couch has seen fairly heavy use, and it's cushions were restored sometime in the '80s, while the chairs have seen much less wear and tear.
I've mainly focused on the worst points in the pictures. and you are welcome to arrange inspection in Delahey (Melb. Western subs) by calling me on 0427195249.

The pros:
  • Elegant, classic design and impressive craftsmanship
  • Structurally sound and solid
  • Lovely timber
  • springs and metal parts well made and durable
  • Excellent, affordable restoration and/or DIY opportunity
The cons:
  • Cushions (especially lower couch) need re-upholstering or replacement
  • assorted bumps, scrapes and wear-and-tear
  • Woven cane missing on one side panel of couch, others range from near-perfect to so-so
