During the 1960s both sales and horsepower of the Chevelles was on an upward curve.

The performance models always had V8 engines ranging from the 283cc of the 1964 models to the 454cc in the 1970 SS454.

Unleaded gasoline resulted in power losses most noticeable in 1972 when the range effectively ceased to exist.

This book is a compilation of road and comparison tests, technical and specification data, history and driver's reports, suspension rebuild. Models include: Malibu SS, 396 SS, Malibu, Malibu 327, SS 454, 454, 350, 350 SS, Z16 Chevelle, L78, LS6.
