Child's 6th Birthday Card 1950s Oranges & Lemons Golly

Child’s 6th Birthday Card, 1950s, featuring children playing Oranges and Lemons, + Golliwog.

This is a charming birthday card that was given to a little boy on his Sixth birthday in 1957, (as it is helpfully dated on the written greeting on the back). It shows children playing the game Oranges and Lemons and has an adapted version of that Rhyme printed inside. The little boy who was seen on the front is actually printed inside and the front has a sort of window formed by the children. Also inside are some of the boy’s toys, including a train, stuffed animals and a happy-looking Golliwog. Other than the written greeting on the back are the words Printed in England and the number 1/400N. The card is in good clean and flat condition.

It is impossible to be an expert in all realms of collecting, and I am honestly representing the item(s) to the best of my knowledge and ability. If the item has a fault then I have mentioned it. I ask that you read the description and examine the photos carefully. If you are in the UK and you buy five or more items there will be a £2.50 discount.  If you buy ten or more items the discount will be £6.  For larger discounts on larger purchases, please contact me.                               As a discount for foreign buyers I will of course combine shipping where the items can be wrapped together.

PACKAGING.    Please note that all of my items are well-packed in thick card or in boxes, and then wrapped in good quality brown paper.  I do not make any separate charge for packaging materials. Many of my feedback comments mention my good packaging and I will of course continue to meet my own standards.

POSTAL DISPUTE - I sell on eBay full-time and send out 50-80 items each week, on average.    I list my fixed price / shop items monthly. So far (as of October 9th) I have been lucky in that I do not know of any items that are held up in the localised disputes.   If - or rather as and when - the situation worsens, or if anybody is concerned about deliveries in their local area, I am more than happy to keep an item here and delay posting until you are happy.

OVERSEAS - Payment is to be made in GB Pounds, as the item is listed in pounds. Please use PayPal via the link on the auction page.  If you do not use PayPal and want to mail payment you MUST contact me before buying so so we can agree the payment method in advance.
