I wish to trade this vehicle for a car trailer capable of carrying 2 tonnes(electric braked), or to sell for enough to buy one.
This is a classic early version of the Series 1 Jaguar XJ6 4.2 litre. This is a sound running car suitable for a full or partial restoration. I have owned this vehicle for several years and have registered it every year for a few months. The car is showing it`s age in the paintwork and has two obvious repairs needed in the bodywork, these being the left hand rear wheel arch(an old repair needing refinishing) and the right hand front guard(splitting around the headlight). The seats have good leather just needing restitching on the drivers seat base, timber is excellent, carpets need replacement and armrests may need a retrim(I have a set of Series 3 armrests that I was going to use if an upgrade is preferred). The under dash shelf is no longer present in this car and some refinishing or replacement would be needed. The motor in this car is a strong 4.2 litre twin cam 6 cylinder with twin side draught 2"SU carburettors, this early version was rated 245hp by the book. The automatic transmission is the normal Jaguar Borg-Warner type 12. The car has Series 2 wheels on it with new Pirelli tyres in the standard size(205/70/15"), also included is a set of 5 Series 1 wheels and hubcaps to complete the restoration. There is a factory edition workshop manual, owners manual, service chart, jack and wheelbrace with the car. I have already spent a lot of effort on tracing these parts and working towards restoring this vehicle. I will be sorry to see it go but do not currently have the resources needed to pursue all of my projects.

Where else are you going to find a 40 year old classic car that`s turn key?
