This plant is not on the Australian Noxious Weed List.
 
Cockscomb is a tender annual that is often seen growing in gardens. The Century cultivars grow  30 - 60cm (1 - 2ft) tall and come in four colours - bright red, yellow, orange and pink.
Native to tropical Africa, they grow best in full sun with sufficient water. Being salt tolerant, they are also good for seaside gardens. Blooms can last up to 8 weeks and further blooms can be expected with 'dead heading'. It also makes an excellent long-lasting cut flower.
A traditional food plant in Africa and used in South East Asia, the leaves and flowers are edible.
 
Offered is a packet of  100+ seeds with Grownotes to assist you to add this long lasting colour to your spring garden.
 
All my seed is posted in bubble wrap protection.
