For Sale is 1 x Codan 9323 Remote  HFSSB Transceiver.  The unit is fitted with the HFoZ - Radtel - RFDS and VKS channels. The Codan 9323 is compatable with other HF radios including Barrett, Icom and Q-mac products. A license is required to operate this transceiver, if nessesary we can organize this for the successful bidder and program the selcall to suit.

Selcall and telcall GPS and Page Call are fitted. Please note:- GPS and Page calls can only be used on HFoZ channels or similar networks, licenced for data transmissions. This unit can also make a direct dial telephone Call and EMAILS to an INBOX and SMS messages to a mobile phone...

The Codan 9323  is a very popular model with a good strong performance and reliability record.

Overview

HFoZ, has 5 carefully selected channels, ranging from 3 to 15Mhz. These frequencies have been (for the first time) approved for Voice and limited Data usage, which will allow the radio user to further expand the usage of their radio.

HFoZ, gives you access to voice communications between vehicles without the interruptions from scheduled reports and or fixed times for reporting and logging.

SMS - Paging Message Service - Vehicle to Vehicle
Most modern day radios are equipped with SMS or sometimes known as Paging. This feature allows the user the facility to send and receive short messages usually up to a maximum of around 64 characters between radios. It is particularly handy in times when signal strength may not be as good as required for normal voice communications.

GPS Position Reporting - Vehicle to Vehicle
GPS Position Reporting (providing the HF Radio has a GPS interfaced) will allow the user to send and receive GPS positions to and from other vehicles fitted with GPS.

GPS Position Logging allows the radio user to send their co-ordinates to any of the designated HFoZ Base sites for safety logging purposes. The base will then automatically store this data for any possible safety and emergency purposes recall and also gives your family, friends and business associates access to view these stored records on our secure database, via 'user name' and 'password'. It will also give them the facility to upload these GPS positions to a map (Natmap Raster 1:250K Topographical) for easy referenece. This completely eliminates the need for Voice logging to a base operator and is far more reliable than Voice Comms particularly in times of weak signal strength and poor propagation. -

 

 

 

 

 

 

SMS - Paging Message Service - Vehicle to Base

SMS or Paging allows the user to send text messages (i.e., safety logging messages or just general messages) up to a maximum of 64 characters for Codan radios or 32 characters for Barrett radios, to any of the designated HFoZ Base Sites. The information will then be stored on our secure database for any possible emergency purposes recall and also gives your family, friends and business associates access to view these stored records via, 'user name' and 'password'. Once again this feature as in GPS above, completely eliminates the need for Voice logging to a base operator and is far more reliable in times of weak signal strength.
