A beautiful and very sharp set of Australian Kangaroo stamps. The 'Multiple Commonwealth of Australia (CofA) and Crown Watermark' was the last of the Kangaroo printing paper with the stamps being issued from 1932 through to 1945. This beautiful set includes a very sharp set of stamps to the 5/- value (the 6d CHESTNUT, 9d VIOLET, 2/- MAROON (in both Die States ~ Original Die Two lines of shading between the word "TWO SHILLINGS" and the Value Circle, and the Redrawn Die ~ One shading line of shading separating) and the 5/- GREY and YELLOW. The three Australian Commonwealth Specialists' Catalogue (Acsc 2004) shades of the 9d VIOLET follow: Acsc 29A: VIOLET, Acsc 29B: PURPLE, & Acsc 29C: DEEP VIOLET. The second-last 'stick' contains the three Acsc listed shades of the Redrawn Die 2/- MAROON ... Acsc 41A: MAROON, Acsc 41B: DEEP MAROON, & Acsc 41C: REDDISH MAROON. The last stick represents the Original Die 2/- listed shade set, being Acsc 40A: MAROON, Acsc 40B: DEEP MAROON, & Acsc 40C: PALE MAROON. The set contains the very occasional spot or minor perf imperfection, but these are all very sound, generally very nicely centered and the shades are very accurate.

Nice Australian Kangaroo stamps for the specialist collector, or the collector wanting to add real value to an existing collection.
