This is the type of guitar brandished by hard-luck delta-bluesmen headed straight for the crossroads for a deal, or dustbowl refugees hopping the freights to the cottonfields of California.
Either way, the tone is equally sweet AND strong and this is a truly limited collectors model.
It has the compact "Parlor" shape popular over 100 years ago with slope-shoulders and an elongated waiste. The spruce top has ornate multi-binding, including aged ivoroid. Round soundhole has multi-ring rosette, including aged ivoroid and abalone.
Finished in warm brown tones, with relic finish showing simulated wear over the decades. Striking Trembesi with rich grain sides and multi-bound(also with ivoroid) 2 piece back(check out ornate middle inlay). Set mahogany neck has deep V shape. Aged ivoroid heel plate has stylized W logo.
Bound rosewood fingerboard has a variety of inlay shapes: stars, dots, diamonds and 125 anniversary at 12th fret. Slotted headstock has bound pegface with floral motif, diamonds & X inlays, aged copper open tuners w/ aged plastic keys. Rosewood bridge has primitive carvings, small abalone dot inlays, compensated bridge & aged black dot bridge pins.
How Does It Play
This amazing replica has a very sweet neck and excellent action.
The V neck profile is quite authentic and is a very nice touch.
It produces sonorous tones harking back to another era. This guitar is unplayed and in factory-fresh condition. Old-timey squared hardshell case has dark brown simulated leather covering and plush lined interior.
