Could not tell you a thing about the history or end use of this item, it came to us within a large box of mostly older computer parts, was in its original compaq box, does not appear to ever have been used, but we have no way of testing the item, so this is being sold at buyer's risk, as we have no way to test the item. Actual item is pictured below. No earthly clue on the speed of these, other than they are new and couple of years old. Being unable to properly test this item, it is being sold as-is for parts use. Unfortunately, we are not skilled in this trade and do not have the resources to be able to test such items. Sorry.

 

FREE SHIPPING Listings are designed for the shipping to the 48 states. If this item is shipped to zone 8 with USPS mail, then we will ship it to all destinations which receive USPS Mail delivery. However for most items over 2 or 3 pounds, we will use Ground Carriers for the delivery and therefore can not ship out of the 48 states for free. We will be glad to still ship to you using the USPS, but you will be responsible for the cost of the additional shipping, between zone 8 Ground Carrier and the USPS cost.
