Compaq V3000 14.1" Laptop Specifications: AMD Turion X2 64bit 2Ghz CPU (virtually equal to 4Ghz) 2Gb RAM 120GB HDD NVIDIA GeForce 6150 Graphics card Lan/Firewire/USB ports Video out/ S-Video out DVDROM & CDRW drive 14.1" widescreen 1280x800 resolution Wi-fi Memory card reader This currently has Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit installed to take advantage of the CPU which I only recently upgraded to. I havn't installed all of the drivers, I believe it's missing some for the memory card reader, unsure what (if anything else). All devices work 100% under Windows XP Laptop is in excellent condition, has minor scratches on case however these can only be seen under the right light condition. Screen has no scratches. Worst thing about it cosmetically is the stickers are in quite poor condition (AMD Turion sticker and NVIDIA sticker), one has been removed but still has some sticky residue which I havnt tried to clean off. Has a brand new battery, NOT a cheap one, I paid $100 for it with a 1 year warranty that is guaranteed to meet or exceed original battery life Review at http://reviews.cnet.com/laptops/hp-compaq-presario-v3000/4505-3121_7-31864365.html for a similar model (slightly lower specs though) Pickup avail from Penrith, will registered post to Australia for $25

It's much better off with Win7 Ultimate as it runs fast and takes advantage of the 64bit CPU meaning CPU intensive applications run much faster. RAM can also easily be upgraded to 4gb and the laptop will use all of it. On 05-Nov-09 at 19:34:17 AEDST, seller added the following information:NOTE******************* There is a slight noise you can occasionally hear from the fan, also when the screen goes blank to change resolutions there is a high pitch noise from it. I have just noticed this now, I believe the fan noise only just started! Laptop is 100% functional and these do not affect the operation in any way. |
