While the Magical Gems and Crystals, stolen from the Secret Fairy Cave, had been missing, things in the Fairy World had been utter chaos! For Father Time, in particular, it had been a Time he would rather forget. In some parts of the Fairy World Time had stood still, in other parts Time had gone backwards and in some parts Time had gone forward. There were a lot of confused and angry magical creatures walking around. And most of them were blaming Father Time himself.
They started a picket line outside his house carrying signs saying things like:
"I’ve got no Time for Father Time"
"Get your head out of the Hour Glass Sand and fix "The days of our lives""
But worst of all they were soon joined by a variety of extremely scary dragons, monsters and other mythical creatures with signs saying things like:
"It’s Time to go, Father Time"
"Father Time has no past, present or future"
"The Clocks Ticking, Father Time".
Just every now again some humans have had the privilege of seeing some of these mythical creatures. This has never worried the creatures. In fact they have always enjoyed the looks of surprise and astonishment on the humans’ faces. But now with all the chaos in the Fairy World this had become a major problem.
The creatures had been appearing in the human world more often and, what is worse, for longer periods of Time! Some of the humans had twigged to this fact and had gathered nets and cages in preparation for the next appearance. So far all of the creatures had managed to escape, but it was only a matter of Time!
Fortunately for Father Time the Gems and Crystals had been found and returned and things appeared to be normal again. He had been kept busy though, apparently most of the clocks in the Fairy World were still a little bit confused. Father Time had to visit every single household in the Fairy World and ensure they were all running FST (Fairy Standard Time).
While leaving the last house he removed one of his many watches from his waist coat pocket and sighed. He was running late again. Turning left onto the main road he headed West. He had recently received a letter from the Wicked Witches of the West. Their clocks were also behaving strangely and they demanded he do something about it or else!
Although Father Time didn’t particularly like the Witches he knew he had to remain neutral in all matters political or personal. His position in the Fairy World was far too important and he had a job to do. Taking another watch from his other pocket he touched it with his finger and quickly set it to WWST (Wicked Witch Standard Time). Breaking into a run he muttered "Oh Dear! Oh Dear! I hope I’m not too late!"
