This item is a new, unassembled, LONG OUT OF PRODUCTION! Wings Models plans to produce a high quality Convair 880 kit in 1/144 by Summer 2007. The Wings kit will be an all resin kit with cast resin engines, engine cowlings, landing gear struts, wheels, etc, two crystal clear vacuformed canopies and appropriate decals. 1/126 scale injection-molded plastic kit of the Convair 880 airliner. This airliner was used by many airlines - both domestic and abroad. Although it carried more passengers than the Boeing 707 and Douglas DC-8, it was slower and eventually lost out in the airliner market.
ITEM CONDITION: Unless otherwise noted in the item description above, ALL of our items are NEW, direct from the manufacturer or distributor. These items are in NEW condition, as you would expect to find them on the shelf of your local hobbyshop or bookstore. This means that model kits will be in their original packaging, including all original parts and decals just as they were received from the manufacturer. Books may show minor shelf wear, although probably less than you would see in a bookstore. Items that were originally shrink-wrapped will still be in shrink-wrap, except that when we first stock a brand new item we open one for purposes of taking photographs for the listing (if the shrink-wrap is really important to you, email us).
