Crocheted Baby or Doll Bonnet/Cap Vintage Ecru Cotton

This listing is for a crocheted baby or doll bonnet made with ecru cotton thread. It is made with hundreds of bullion or roll stitches, which is a very advanced stitch; see more about it at crochet.about.com. There's a small remnant of pink ribbon attached to the inside; I didn't want to remove it for fear of damaging the bonnet.

There are two light yellow ribbons that look like they were put on as an afterthought by some previous owner. They're light yellow and tacked on with light turquoise thread! They can be removed very easily.

It's in excellent condition. I couldn't find any fraying from wear but it does need a light cleaning. I guessed on the era it's from. I don't know how old it is since I got it at an estate auction. The crochet.about.com page on the bullion stitch referenced an early 1900's Handbook Of Crochet.
