CYRTANTHUS MACKENII

" Variable Colours "

A popular species among gardeners and hybridisers alike. Growing to almost 40cm high , multiplying well in a sandy loam soon forming nice free flowering clumps. Colour is variable , ranging from pink to yellow or white. The seed offered here contains a mix and may produce seedlings in 1 or all of the above colour variants.

Quick to germinate and possibly best treated as an evergreen , keeping seedlings slightly drier during the Winter months in frosty areas. A beautiful addition to the garden though equally as happy in pots. Flowers usually appear in December or earlier.

Bulbs generally reach flowering potential by the  3rd or 4th season.
