User 1:- More power than dc925, smoother shifts, seperate rings for drilling modes and clutch, l.e.d light is very handy at times, shorter length than dc925

This drill has better balance than the DC925, more power(despite Dewalt's flawed UWO ratings), better gear selector switch, sepearate drill and clutch ring, so you don't have to mess with your clutch settings. Although I wish Dewalt would have kept the old DC925 XRP base, because then I could keep my 2 nutsetters on one side and a bit holder on the other. I don't know what the other guy is talking about not being able to notice the weight difference, it is VERY obvious after a 8 hr work day. A huge improvement over the old 925, I would Highly Recommend this drill to someone who uses it daily, or any one who wants a quality drill."

THE DUAL SELECTOR RINGS ARE NICE AND THE CHUCK IS VERY EASY TO USE. WITH THIS DRILL YOU CAN DO EVERYTHING FROM DRIVING SMALL BRASS CABINET SCREWS TO DRILLING 4" HOLES IN PLYWOOD !!"

I BELIEVE THEY MAY HAVE FIXED THE OLD PROBLEM WHERE THE SELECTOR WOULD GET STUCK ON HAMMERDRILL AND MOVE AROUND WHILE USING THE DRILL. I THOUGHT I WOULD NOTICE THE WEIGHT DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE LI-ION BATTERY AND THE NICAD BUT I REALLY DONT THINK IT FEELS ANY LIGHTER."
