DIVINE Decoupaged Box Teddy Bears & Painted Lacework

I am auctioning a GORGEOUS Hand Painted & Decoupaged Teddy Bear Box. This was an intricate and detailed piece that is done on a timber box. This took quite a while to complete and it was worth every moment. The photos do it no justice and I am sure that the buyer will be delighted. I am so confident that they will be happy that I am offering free delivery of this piece within the Sydney area so that the buyer can have a look before completing the sale. The box is about 23cms long, 18cms deep and about 7.5cms high .  The colouring is REALLY PRETTY. It is a lovely soft powdery blue box that has a teddy bear design on the lid. This design was originally a card that was sealed with layers of sealer and then soaked in water. The all the cardboard was gradually rubbed away from the back of the card to leave a fine surface of sealed paper with the teddy bears on it. This has then been sealed onto the box and decorative paintwork added to enhance the wonderful colouring and detail found on the card. Around the card I have painted a narrow border in a soft rose pink which I then highlighted with tiny little dots around the edge and fine off white line work to make it look a little like ribbon. Then I painted very very fine lacework around the outside to make the card look like it has a lace doiley behind it. There is a spray of little rosebuds in the top left hand corner with tiny green leaves and little variegated blue flowers. ont the front of the box I painted a little ANGEL FACE sign that I copied from the card and then painted tiny little stylised pink rosebuds in a scattered pattern around it. There are 2 little tiny dings about 3x4mms in the front of the box that were there when I first painted it, I tried to sand them back but that was as far as I could go, they dont detract from the box but I am not asking anywhere near what the box is worth for this reason. Inside the box on the lid, I decoupaged the same little teddy bear that is on the bottom right hand corner of the main design onto the top left hand corner of the inside of the lid and then painted a little variegated pink and cream ribbon and bow over the top of her. The detail and layering of paint used to acheive the finished result makes such an amazing finish, I still cannot believe I painted it, the person who designed this piece must have been very creative. I would love to find a great home for it where it will be appreciated. This starting price in no way reflects the time and love spent on the project. The piece has been finished with an acrylic varnish to protect the paintwork and decoupage work. THIS WOULD MAKE A WONDERFUL BABY SHOWER GIFT OR SPECIAL CHRISTENING PRESENT, SOMETHING VERY PERSONAL AND DIFFERENT!
