A comprehensive and detailed set of plans for the construction of a tandem axle Flatbed Trailer. Bed size is 4200 x 1870 and overall size is 6000 x 2380 x 782 - conveniently contained on a single CD. The plans will provide you with all the necessary drawings, instructions, parts lists and handy tips to enable you to build with confidence, knowing your trailer will conform to legal requirements.

 

The flatbed trailer is designed with two ramps that conveniently store away out of sight when not in use. The design also includes handy features like tie-down hooks, double safety chains and chequar plate bed. There is also a winch mouting for dragging non-running vehicles onto the trailer. The assembly guide will assist you in the construction and give you heaps of advice on brakes, axles, suspension and other components. The plans are based on the Australian National Code of Practice – Building Small Trailers (VSB1). Trailers built to comply with this code of practice can be registered for on-road use. The CD includes a copy of VSB1 for your reference.
