Welcome to my auction THE ARTIST All my life I have expressed myself artistically - through oil painting, sketching, photography, poetry and fiction writng. I've always loved art!! When I discovered the wonderful art of reborning, I realised I could combine two of the things I love the most - babies and art! I am now in my 3rd year of reborning and have developed my own unique techniques to enhance the realism of my babies. All my artworks are created in my lovely home studio in sunny Western Australia!! I'm so pleased with how life-like Angelina looks and feels! I can't help but sneak a cuddle everytime I pass her crib! I have hand-painted baby Angelina using my special colouring techniques, creating an extremely realistic look and 'texture' to the skin. She has a lifelike skintone, with delicate veining and slight newborn 'splotches'. The paints I use have been permanently heat set, and will not fade, chip or rub off. Angelina is a collectable artwork, that will last for many many years to come. When creating Angelina, I worked from photographs of real babies. This adorable little girl is just waiting to be picked up and cuddled! I have spent many hours creating the skintones, and I am so pleased with the end result, as I am sure her new Mummy will be!!
I've given Angelina the softest dark brown mohair - she has that wispy delicate head of hair many babies have! The process of hand rooting the hair is very time consuming, but it is well worth it in the end! I’ve hand-painted Angelina's three dimensional eyebrows. Angelina's tiny nails have that freshly clipped baby look and have been sealed and permanently set. I always strive to improve my techniques and each baby I create is given 100% of my time and artistic ability, I like to make my babies as REAL AS POSSIBLE. Even very close up, people still think they are looking at a real infant!! Angelina has chubby 3/4 legs and arms - perfect for dressing her in gorgeous summer outfits!!!! She has been realistically weighted using the finest glass beads and soft fibre-fill, her head is weighted so that it flops slightly and need to be supported just like a real infant. Angelina's beautiful coming home layette! It has been an absolute pleasure to create this precious baby!! Angelina has turned out even more beautiful than I imagined and is just exquisite! When you cuddle this little darling, it is so hard to put her down!!I'm sure her new Mummy will be totally satisfied with the quality and realism of her. Shipping overseas is $110 AUD - PLUS insurance (insurance MUST be purchased). These babies are very realistic, and are quite heavy. I pack all my babies with great care to ensure safe arrival to their new home. To try and reduce shipping costs, I do not charge for packing materials and most often cover part of the shipping costs myself. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The winning bidder must make contact within 24 hours of auction end. Payment must be received within 7 days, unless otherwise arranged, or baby will be re-listed. The 3 month layaway system works like this : 1/3 final auction price must be paid within 7 days of Auction end, with the final amount due 12 weeks after that. Please contact me prior to bidding if you wish to use this option. All photo's have been taken in a variety of lighting conditons at different times of the day, and none has been enhanced. All props remain the property of Down Under Babies, unless otherwise stated. Blankets, pacifiers and soft toys may differ from those pictured. RETURN POLICY Angelina may be returned in excellent condition within 7 days of receipt, all monies will be refunded, minus postage costs and my ebay fees.
