Can't Hardly Wait
There are certain events in your life that you will never forget, because they serve as such huge milestones. Your first day of school, your first kiss, your wedding day... these are all monumental occasions. Well, Robert and Jenny are freshly back from their honeymoon and now they're on the hunt for their very first house together. They're very anxious to become first-time homeowners, so imagine their excitement when the real estate agent gave them a call about the availability of a couple of homes in the desired neighborhood.
Naturally, because Robert and Jenny are just starting out, they don't have a lot of money. As such, they've been looking at older homes that just need a little elbow grease and a little love. It's come down to two choices, both of which are fixer-uppers, and this is where you step in. Help Robert and Jenny transform one of the houses into a home, transforming the chaos found within into an organized mess that they can manage.
Craftsman or Victorian: The Choice is Yours
Life is about choices, so one of the first decisions that the newlyweds have to make is which house they are going to buy. The real estate agent has found two fantastic offerings in the neighborhood they want and they're both in the same price range.
On the one hand, you have the Craftsman House. The 1930s beauty has a huge backyard, large windows, and it's got plenty of potential. On the other hand, the new couple may be more interested in the Victorian Home. It's definitely got a lot of character and charm with elements like the clawfoot soaking tub and beautiful woodwork. The spacious master bedroom is a definite bonus.
Whichever house you choose, you'll need to stick with it through to the end of the story. After that, you can go back and try the adventure with the other house. After completing both homes, a special bonus will be unlocked that rewards you for all your hard work.
It's a Mess, But It's a Start
For a little extra motivation along the way, you will have the opportunity to revisit rooms and areas on the property that may have already seen. For example, you may come to the kitchen "as is" to discover an absolute pig-sty with random ingredients and even wildlife trodding on your tiles and all over your appliances! After cleaning it up, you may come back to discover a new fridge or other elements that have been significantly improved. You'll have to find most of the items on your hidden objects list each time, but the basic design remains the same. If you remembered spotting a squirrel next to the stove on the first visit, it might be there the next time too.
After completing a level, there will be an opportunity to head up to the attic to participate in some wonderful mini-games. There are three types in all, each with five levels of their own. A special award awaits those who manage to make it through all 15 games.
Attention to Detail
It's easy to take the grand perspective of an older house that needs a little work, but when you start paying attention to the little details, you'll start to appreciate how great a home it can become. Robert and Jenny will be infinitely grateful for all your help!
