About the Animal Protection Society

The Animal Protection Society is a non-profit "no kill" dog and cat shelter run entirely by volunteers. At any one time they house and care for 24 dogs and 85 cats as well as 50 kittens ( during the kitten season).

About the Artist (me!) I grew up in lovely bushy Perth Hills in Western Australia and still love it here. Have always had a passion for all things animal and nature. I worked as a veterinarian for 10 years and am now a full time mum to two beautiful boys and a newborn baby girl. I am entirely self taught and painting is my sanity/meditation time :) I think of nothing else when I paint. My paintings are varied in subject and style- largely animal based but I also love to do some abstract work.
