The D/Bay is an external caddy, which connects to either the laptop or docking station via the D/Bay connector, enabling you to use your D-Series modules externally (FLOPPY, CD-ROM, CD-RW, DVD-ROM, DVD-RW, CD-RW/DVD and second hard drive).

It will only work in the models listed above as it uses a connection unique to the dell D-Series.

The Dell D/Bay External Media Bay provides you 'mobile expandability'.
