Dive Rite MR11 Sunspot HID Slimline Light

The Dive Rite MR11 Sunspot HID Slimline Light is the most compact canister light on the market with the smallest light head in the Dive Rite line and has an approximately 4-degree fixed-focus beam. The Dive Rite MR11 Sunspot HID Slimline Light has a sunspot reflector that delivers a high intensity "hot-spot" that gives superior penetration with a powerful 500 lumens of illumination. The Dive Rite MR11 Sunspot HID Slimline Light is powered by a 12V 4500 MA NIMH battery, the 10-watt HID Welch Allyn Solarc bulb is 300% brighter than halogen and gives 4-hours of burn time and is depth rated to 500 feet.

This is a small, low profile canister light that comes complete in its own padded waterproof storm case. The Dive Rite MR11 Sunspot HID Slimline Light comes standard with an elastic handmount. Color temperature of 7,500 degrees Kelvin (approximately 500 lumens) Internal, fixed parabolic Sunspot reflector 12V 4500 mA NiMH battery requires cycling when first used to achieve maximum burn times.

This particular light was bought in 2007 (and in 2009 retails at between $1200 and $1400) specifically for a diving expedition and has been on 38 dives. It has been meticulously maintained but has some minor scratches from diving activities on wrecks.

This light comes with the following:

• HID light head (narrow focus) - specifically designed for search, expeditions and long range lighting. The head has a hand grip (self-adjustable) as well as a clip which can be used to attach the head to a d-ring on your BC. The head is on a lead which give total freedom of movement and placement of the light in relation to diver.
  
• Canister with 2 d-rings custom attached so the whole light can be mounted in any location on a BC (for example at the lower back below the wing and weight system). That way it's out of the way and easily reachable.

• Super strength storm case. This is an ultra durable case specifically designed for this light to protect it when not used. Completely shock and weather proof. The light has been stored in this case when not in use.
