The authors braved the fury of the Australian Government because soon after the book's publication, the Government issued an interim injunction to ban it, citing the Crimes act and the copyright act. Copies of the book were impounded and the Government seized the print runs of newspapers that reproduced extracts from this explosive book.

The Government seemed especially uncomfortable with certain details contained therein, dealing with Australia's involvement and knowledge of the Indonesian invasion of East Timor; of the agreements covering US military bases in Australia; the presence of the Soviet Navy in the Indian Ocean; Australia's support of the Shah of Iran and the security of Butterworth base...

Age tone to fore-edges. Minimal Shelfwear. Name on half-title page. No other Writings, Inscriptions or Markings. Dustjacket shows a minor fading of the spine and minor wear to edges and corners.
