Pls notice that Charmeuse is just a method of weaving, it is not a meterial. Fabric weaved as Charmeuse are very smooth to touch and shinning. There are cotton charmeuse, faux silk charmeuse, mulberry silk charmeuse and so on. ONLY mulberry silk charmeuse is weaved by the Mulberry silk floss.
Pls make sure that you will get one Mulberry silk Charmeuse as the outshell of the silk comforter. Silk-filled comforter with faux silk charmeuse are at much lower price. It is very shining, but it is not breathable, and does not absorb the heat and moisture away. It will over-heat you and make you sweating. Experieced buyer can tell mulberry silk charmeuse from faux silk charmeuse even from the photo.
The gallary photo's outshell is made by 16 momme mulberry silk charmeuse in color solid ivory. Thread count 800TC. If you prefer other thickness or color, pls find them in the store catagory of -customization, available in 16-22mm thickness and various colors. For the same 16mm silk but different color, there is no extra cost.
The inside silk floss's FILL weight is shown by item title ( pls notice that it is the FILL weight, cotton cover not included, some Ebay sellers use gross weight here to mislead customer).
It is made following the Chinese tradition of layer on layer of hand stretched silk. Raw silk is so light and fine yet strong and it naturally meshes together. Many layers of long silk floss are pulled out by hand to the dimensions of the doona until the right weight is reached. There is no possibility of the silk bunching up within the doona.

Care 1- You'd better use a duvet cover to protect it from getting dirty. We custom-make both cotton and silk duvet covers. In such case, the silk comforter should never be washed. Air it throughly before store it.
Care 2 - If you want to enjoy the lightweight and sleep with the silk comforter without duvet cover, the silk comforter need to be spot washed or hand washed as a whole in warm water around 30 centigrade. Pls use silk-detergent and mild tumble dry. Air dry flat finally. Some of my buyers told me that they machine wash our silk comforters without problem. Though our products are quilted firmly, I do not encourage machine wash. It might shorten the usage.
Sleeping with silk-cased silk-filled comforter is like heaven, it worth more care. Proper care can ensure over 10 years of usage. It is a life-long investment.
