Up for grabs are two (2) x nVidia GeForce 8800 GT graphics cards, each with 512MB of GDDR3 memory and Arctic Cooling Accelero S1 coolers + Turbo Modules. The 8800 GT was the first of the revolutionary G92 family, which includes all of the 9xxx series of cards and is still used today in the GTS 250. They were made for SLI.

These cards were surprisingly powerful when first released and, as shown by the Anandtech benchmarks below, they give the current top-end cards a run for their money. The results show 2 x 8800 GT's in SLI consistently beating out the current GTX 280 in today's top games, including the current graphical benchmark, Crysis.

Note that the results were obtained using stock clocked 8800 GT cards, whereas these are factory overclocked which makes them more comparable with the new GTX 285, a higher clocked, 55nm GTX 280. The Accelero S1 coolers are a marvel in themselves and keep the cards icy cool while remaining silent, so there's still plenty of overclocking headroom left if you want even more performance.

If you have a SLI-capable system, these cards will enable you to have performance comparable with the new GTX 285, but without the $450+ cost of admission. The SLI bridge pictured and original boxes and accessories are all included. I will also consider selling the cards individually.

Pickup is recommended due to the large size of the boxes, but I am happy to post and I will combine postage if other items are purchased. Shipping cost can be reduced if the original boxes are not included. Please ask for more details.

The prices quoted below are the cheapest of the costs estimated by the Australia Post website (ie. Parcel or Satchel). Sometimes the actual cost varies, but I will never charge more than I have quoted. If the actual cost is significantly less, I will refund the difference.

I will still do all I can to recover any losses from the Post Office and will post the item as soon as possible following cleared payment.

Some additional info on the Arctic Cooling Accelero S1 coolers: These are the best VGA coolers going around. They can be run completely passively, but turbo modules are also included - silent, low-profile fans designed specifically for Accelero coolers. A review of these monsters, both passive and with turbo module, can be found here.

The S1's cost around $45 each, plus $15 per turbo module. That's a total value of $120 for the coolers alone! It would be worth the investment, but they are already included for you here. Don't miss out!
