I prefer pickup on this and inspection is available. If you want to ship it, then that is cool, but you have to organise and pay for it. 'BUY IT NOW' also gets the Ducati Performance stainless 2 into 1 header pipe into carbon can and the single seat footrests to use with it, pictured in the final photo! No the race stand is not included :) Spotless Ducati Monster '94 600 with 750SS motor. No longer LAMS compliant as a result. The engine had 32,000 k's on it when installed and I have done less than 10,000 since then. All of the listed modifications were done at the same time as the engine, making all the bearing replacements less than 10,000 k's old. Serviced less than 500 k's ago. Brand new (not even scrubbed in) rear and 80% front Michelin Pilot Powers. Chain and sprokets fine. Safety Certificate upon sale for Queensland buyer. In effect, the only thing on this bike at the stated 42,000 km is the engine, the rest is as new. Just for the sake of clarity, the odometer says about 98,200 k's. The engine has done just under 42,000 k's. All suspension/frame components and anything I thought wasn danger or wearing out has been either replaced (bearings), or rebuilt (shock and forks) less than 10,000 k's ago. I have all the receipts. The end result is it rides like a new one. Actually, better than when it was new... Probably the nicest early Monster in the country. 99% streetable showbike, but would be a perfect coffeeshop show piece. So many modifications I'm sure to forget some...but here goes. Custom Italian Flag/Tricolore with gold pin lines paint scheme on tank and carbon nose and seat covers. Show stoppingly beautiful. Colour matched to my Arai Agostini Replica helmet although the photo is a bit too yellow. The colour is spot on. 5.5" rear rim from the 900 with 170 rear tyre. Standard was a 4.5" with a 160. I had a 180 on the 5.5" but had potential to scrub on the mudguard. Fits in the swingarm no problem. I have put the 170 on to sell, and it's fine. Just doesn't look as good :) Every nut and bolt replaced with stainless (where allowed...not engine mount bolts, but these were replaced with new-from-Ducati items), even the ones you have to pull it apart to see. Every single one. Countless stainless parts. the ones I couldn't replace with stainless, such as the ones that hold the foot rest supports, were chromed. Every bearing replaced apart from in the engine (the ones in the external covers have been such as the crank end bearing and cam end bearings.) Steering, all rear suspension roller bearings, engine mounted swingarm roller bearings, everything. Rod ends on rear suspension linkage and gear change linkage replaced with stainless also. Goodridge braided hydraulic lines throughout with stainless banjo bolts. Stainless hydraulic bleeder valves. Re-kitted brake and clutch master cylinders. K&N Air Filter. 900SS oil cooler fitted with Speed Flow fittings and braided hose. Carbon parts used throghout. Front and rear mudguards, the painted nose fairing and seat cover, side covers, sprocket cover. The tail piece is also carbon, but it has cosmetically deteriorated (clearcoat separation). There is a guy selling what looks to be a good one here : Item # 350276039203 Fork legs and rear shock shaft rechromed. Rear shock also rebuilt and fitted with a heavier (100kg) Race Tech spring. I have had to make some changes to the bike as I rode it in order to make it strictly road legal in order to sell. I have re-fitted the original header pipes and new standard exhaust cans as well as new standard mirrors for this reason. Standard indicators also fitted. I still have most of the original plastic parts should the buyer wish to buy them. The exhaust system I had on it was a stainless 2 into 1 header system into a high rise single carbon can. The whole system weighs less than just one of the standard pipes. The engine goes much harder with this system and sounds fantastic. It was used with Ducati Performance alloy single seat footrests. This fancy exhaust won't work with the standard footrests. The photo with the chrome tank shows them off nicely. Buy It Now and I will throw them in - I'll even fit them if you like, but it will probably want a tuning tweak. If not I'll put them up for sale separately after the bike is sold. Sorry...chrome tank already sold. You may notice that the right footrest bracket is missing the pillion peg. That is because I dropped the bracket prior to fitting the pegs and it just snapped off. I used the single footrests, so it didn't worry me. But to fit the standard exhaust I had to put them back on. Since then I have sourced and powdercoated another one. I've not fitted it because of the option for the buyer to have the singles. Either the bike will have the newly powder coated one or the singles on when you buy it. The beautiful genuine Ducati Performance billet teardrop mirrors in that chrome tank photo cost me a fortune. Their anodised finish went dull so I powder coated them and had the glass mirror replaced. I also had custom stainless fitting bolts made for them. They buyer can have first option on them too for $300. The Buy It Now price is less than a third of what it has cost me to get the bike to this standard. I thought when I was building this bike that I had made it sale proof. No one could possibly offer me enough to part with it. But a baby on the way has changed my thinking a little. |
