IMPORTANT NOTE TO THE BUYER:
This phone has been upgraded at the factory, even thou it may look like there are no changes on the outside, the clear difference is on the inside. The STANDARD D698 is Discontinued and people are trying to dump there old stock of the phone. When the factory was decided to upgrade a limited stock of there popular phone we bought them.
THE CLEAR DIFFERENCE is the 24 bit Video Chip installed with a MUCH NEEDED firmware upgrade. Some of the other changes is the huge storage capacity from the 8GB to now 16GB so the phone can grow with you and is not out of date next year. Add a HiRes single LED back-lit LCD screen so you can view HD movies, they really went all out, deeper blacks, more vivid colors it is alomst night and day difference. The last perk is the new internal memory they added. Again, something the older D698 does not offer,
WHY BUY FROM MAINLINE TRADE:
Well it is very simple, we are an AUTHORIZED RETAILER, and can validate the true 1 year warranty. Our Vice President thinks Duet should have just scrapped the old stock, but the didn't. They blew out there old stock though liquidation services and voided the IMEI number, also know as the serial number for the phone. We know that we wouldn't want to buy a $100 item with no warranty and then be told that the seller can't help you with a technical issue you are having. The Seller can't tell you where you need to send the phone for service. Would you really want to do that? We wouldn't, that is why we include on every packing slip for the Duet Phones, not only a copy of your IMEI number, but we list the service center address and phone number should you have any problems with in that first year.
