The DVICO TVIX HD M-6500A (Rev. 2) Digital Network Multimedia Player features an aluminum black face, the latest Sigma Designs SMP8635 processor, HDMI output and SATA Hard Disk support.  New to this model is H.264 format playback with double the main memory of its predecessor.  Simple to operate, the TVIX is a user friendly, simple alternative to the Home Theater PC, and perfect for a network A/V environment. 

The TVIX HD M-6500A Digital Network Multimedia Player supports various audio/video formats such as MP3, WMA, PCM, DTS, WMV9 and WMV-HD, DIVX, XVid, HDV and MKV files recorded by digital camcorders, and standard transport streams that are recorded by todays HD devices, as well as the new H.264 (MPEG4) format.  In a home network environment, the TVIX 6500 is a versatile media client that can operate from a Network Attached Storage (NAS) as well as USB device with improved Ethernet throughput (50-60Mbs) of its predecessor.  The portable TVIX HD M-6500A features SATA connection for hard disk installation and USB connection to transfer data between your PC and the player.   

The TVIX HD M-6500A Digital Network Multimedia Player offers high quality HDMI and Component video as well as S-Video and Composite allowing connection to all types of displays.  Networking capability supports video over LAN of low and high bitrate MPEG-2 (DVD and HD) as well as an optional wireless smart add-on (not recommended for High-definition 720p/1080i files).  The TVIX is flexible enough to be connected to older standard definition TVs, HDTVs and PC monitors alike.  The TVIX HD M-6500A also features both analog 2-channel and digital (Coax/Toslink) audio connections.

H.264 is the latest development & standard in high quality video compression technology, adopted for common applications such as TV broadcasting & high definition videos for HD-DVD and Blu-Ray discs. Video files encoded in H.264 translate to better quality video while taking up lower storage space on the hard drive. The TViX M-6500A can store and play video files encoded in H.264 standard at up to 1080p resolution.
The M-6500A is equipped with HDMI output, the default connection type for new generation HDTV displays. HDMI is designed specifically to handle high resolution video with integrated multi-channel HD digital audio, all in one connection.

If you have a HDV or AVCHD camcorder you can transfer your captured files to the TViX directly and watch them on your Plasma or LCD TV.

Change your subtitle font into what you want in your favourite colour. You can apply any fonts used in Windows to your TViX, adjust the size of fonts and even change the font colour. From now on, you are able to enjoy your movies with several kinds of fonts.
Copy and Paste function without a personal computer
You can copy and paste files saved in TViX HDD without a personal computer. Now you don’t need to bring your TViX back to your computer to transfer files into/ out of the TViX.
In the network function, you can enjoy a movie with no TViX HDD
TViX HD can be networked with a PC system using its built-in LAN port. You are able to navigate to a file in a PC on TVIX Boxs network and play the file from its original destination without having to first copy it onto the TVIX Box HD.
Wire/ Wireless Network Storage function (FTP function)
TViX™s FTP server function not only just can make the file delete, copy, move by LAN cable, but also you can access it by internet .so wherever you are you can easily access to your folder if you have your own IP address.
