This is an incredible piece of vintage Modernist furniture.
It came from a downsizing estate and when I inquired
regarding the history of this piece I was told that it was
purchased in the 1960's in Adelaide. I was also told
that this interesting piece was bought because it looked
quite Art Deco (?). It is wooden and has a thick enamel
type finsih to it. The finish is almost stippled..not one colour
but probably hard to see the stippled uneven colour in
the picture. Now whilst I am certainly no Eames Era expert
of Modernist furniture I certainly can spot a piece. I have
no idea who the maker is and the only id I can find is a
sticker to the underneath. Now regarding condition I would
think that the new owner would maybe like to restore the
surface. It has some chips and also a "ring" mark on the
top of the table surface. Ive showed these in the photos.
This table looks like it came from gallery and if not certainly
belongs in one! It measures 61 inches wide and is 29 inches high.
It is 16 inches deep.
A wonderful and rare piece of Modernistic furniture!
