They are only limited by their power rating and class.
Although it is designed to be used with computers (it communicates with your computer via USB or serial port), it will also work with many other electrical items. If you have a particular application out of the ordinary, send me the details and I shall respond appropriately.
When connected to a computer, software provided with the UPS can be loaded as a program. This software when installed will keep vigilance on the power supplied to your computer. If an event occurred such as a blackout, the UPS communicates with the software, instructing the computer to alert the operator and start shutting down the computer.
The shut down is preprogrammed by the operator so that short blackouts (of less than a few minutes) will not necessarily be a cause for a shut down. All this will ensure the safety of your stored information from disaster and provide protection to your sensitive PC Equipment.

A line interactive UPS contains a regulator that boosts the mains power supply when it falls. It can regulate power to an acceptable level, without the use of a battery, during a brownout or surge in supply voltage. They protect the critical system against blackout, brownouts, spikes and sags
There is a short period (ie transfer time) when a line interactive UPS will switch to battery mode during a blackout. Most line interactive UPS units have additional features including shutdown software and telephone line protection. They provide a high level of protection, at an affordable price.
General Information
Unexpected power blackouts will be a thing of the past with this device. During power failure, the UPS provides high quality sustained electricity and will eventually start an automatic, controlled shutdown of your connected system, thereby protecting your stored information and working documents from the disaster of being closed due to power failure.
When no power blackouts are present, and being a Line Interactive Class UPS, this unit will monitor the incoming voltage, and either boost power or "Buck", allowing surges to be hindered before they ever reach you electrical or computer equipment. This function is commonly known as Automatic Voltage Regulation.
There has never before been such an affordable Line Interactive UPS of this quality. Some other units have similar specifications but are only of a Standby-Class-UPS, offering no power regulation. At an asking price no different from this great unit.

AVR Function |
