Following Paris, Texas, legendary German filmmaker Wim Wenders returned to America with this slick psychological thriller and compelling examination of crime, security and voyeurism in modern society. The story tracks the parallel paths of two divergent characters: a slick Hollywood action-film producer (Bill Pullman – Lost Highway) who neglects his wife (Andie MacDowell - Green Card) comes upon details concerning a top-secret, anti-crime satellite surveillance system, but goes into seclusion after an abduction and attempt on his life; while a surveillance expert (Gabrielle Byrne - Usual Suspects) watches the action unfold through his all-seeing cameras dotted across LA. When Pullman vanishes into a faceless city, escaping into the shadowy underworld, he begins his own covert investigation in parallel with the official inquiry. Forced into a heart-stopping confrontation with forces beyond his comprehension and violence beyond his deadliest fictional creations, is this the end of violence...or just the beginning?
