This incredible Large Cubist Abstract Color Field painting is an original oil on canvas by the talented New York Modernist Edith Brill (20th Century). Painted in the heat of the Abstract Expressionist movement, this piece is the real deal, 1970s artifact of the era that made New York the art capital of the world! This Eames Era canvas is a stunning color field, a kaleidoscope of subtle and sophisticated color swatches that vibrates between implying and denying three dimensionality! An uncountable number of tones went into the piece, however, the artist was miraculously able to maintain a unity within them, as if the colors are light refractions of the same source! This is a true gem if I have ever seen one: rich in every way!

The piece is signed by the artist on the back. The image measures 26" x 32", and 30 1/4" x 36 1/4" in a beautiful, custom made gallery frame, that  perfectly complements the piece. Condition report: Both the artwork and the frame are in excellent condition.
