This story by France Hodgson Burnett appeared
in the American St Nicholas Magazine in 1881,
and was first published by Jordan Marsh & Co. in 1888.
This 1890 edition was published in the same year (1890)
as the story was performed on the London stage as "Nixie"






condition

this book is in Very Good or better condition
the binding is tight and straight
covers and gilt are clean and bright
all pages and illustrations are present
there are no tears, marks, stains, dog-ears, foxing
insect damage, marginalia or inscriptions

the only faults that I can find are :

light wear to corner tips and spines ends
