This kit is a great, affordable way to start painting with wax.

It contains an Encaustic Arts iron, 20 sheets of A5 card, 8 waxes, a scribing tool and the 32-page Quick Guide.

Encaustic Art involves painting with coloured beeswax using hot tools. The wax is melted on the base of a hot iron, then applied to paper. The painting is then developed by adding extra details with the iron or by scratching or scraping the wax, revealing the white card underneath. The results created by the iron are unpredictable, making each painting unique and impossible to duplicate.
