This is a fine English early century sterling silver water goblet. From the well very rarely observed Birmingham firm of Fergenbaum & Son. Listed for only five years in 1920 to 1925. As a result, examples bearing their mark are almost never encountered by collectors. This fine goblet in classic form. Tall slender bowl tapering to base. Elegant leaf and floral framed oval medallion. Unique, twitsed rope centre saucer form knop. Set at lower stem. Stepped edge circular foot. This fine English early century sterling silver water goblet is 5 1/2 inches tall and 2 5/8 inches at widest. Thick heavy guage sterling construction, it weighs 3 1/4 ounces. Hallmarked as shown. In very good condition. Rich, lustreous sterling patina. Stands firm on table or tray. Removal evident in oval medallion, see images.
