What a beautiful acrylic on board by listed Australian artist H. B. Harrison, born 1878 - d 1948, born in Geelong Victoria. H B Harrison only artwork that came to the market was sold for $1300 in 2006.

He moved to Queensland as a youth  c.1896. He worked as a cartoonist on the Queenslander, the Brisbane Courier and the Observer and was a prolific exhibitor with the QAS in 1902-12, 1914-15. Later he studied painting with Max Meldrum in Melbourne, although, according to Moore, never became a Meldrumite. He was a foundation member of the Australian Art Association. Beautifully framed, matted and under glass in excellent condition, framed size is 44cm x 54cm and image size is 27cm x 37cm. Signed bottom right corner with the initials H.H. and titled " Herman's Road ". Excellent composition and execution, a great addition to any art collection.
