PLEASE NOTE I will be unable to access my computer for a couple of days during this auction but all questions will be answered well before the end of the auction.

OMG!!! Is'nt this antique french frame totally GORGEOUS!! I bought this one from Lille Braderie in France from a dealer who had the most gorgeous frames...I have a few I am keeping for myself but this one I bought for you girls. It is just divine. I have left the original photograph in it but you could easily put a family photo in it. The ormolu top bow is just divine and the little bun feet are very pretty. The mechanism on the back is working fine and you can easily change the photo. There is one thing to note though..as with a lot of these antique frames the thick bevelled glass has some chips There are three to the sides of this one. Personally they do not worry me at all... you are looking at a frame that probably dates from the late 1800's so a little wear is normal. The glass is very thick and in no danger of breaking at all. I have tried to photograph the damage but its really hard to see. The frame stands 20cm high and will take a photo 16cm x 10cm. The mechanism at the back has a stand and a hanger.
