This is an exquisite, high quality men's fashion leather jacket, which was made from premium grade, soft & supple, thick textured full-grain leather. There is no brand or logo on the label, so I cannot identify the maker, but there is a tag which states this has been made from genuine leather, in Mexico, and is a Medium (M) size. Given this information, and going by the quality of the design, and the high grade leather used, this was most likely made by a US, or European designer label. The leather is simply amazing, and would have cost a fortune, in its own right. It is thick, very soft & supple, and has "QUALITY", written all over it. The tanning processes it would have gone through, have produced a truly stunning variety of leather sections, perfectly stitched together. The leather is very smooth, and soft & supple, and has some beautiful grain variations running through it. There are also textures, especially around the rib sides, and on the lapels, which suggest these areas were embossed, to produce a croc-like texture. The jacket is a dark tan/ brown colour, but through the tanning process, there are a variety of tones, which include a slightly lighter tan colour, especially on the back, but also elsewhere, where the subtle tones of tan & brown, are carefully blended, or interwoven as grain-like variations in the leather.
The design & styling of this leather fashion jacket, is just as stunning as the high quality leather that has been used. This jacket has a beautiful rounded collar, with quite wide lapels. The right side overlaps the left, and is held perfectly in place, by 4 metal press-down clip-buttons, which are in a rectangular formation at the front base. This leather jacket has a short length (which would normally sit around the waist, or just below), and measures about 35"-37" around the base. There is a great-looking "V" peak (just below the 4 press-down clips; and this "V" shaped formation recurs elsewhere in this jacket, particularly on the seams/overlays/stitching on the sleeves (both on the upper part, on the sides near the shoulders; and also on the cuffs); as well as the front and back sections. There are 2 side pockets, which are inset behind the "V" shaped front ovelay section. In other areas as well, there are some very interesting, and finely stitched seams, with subtle variations in the leather (hue, tone & texture) - from seam to seam. The inner-lining is a metallic bronze/silver-striped fabric, which is quite subtle, and in absolute pristine condition.
The leather of the outer shell is in excellent condition, with no significant signs of wear, damage or soiling. This stunning leather fashion jacket is like new in condition. It is without doubt, one of the finest leather jackets that I have come across, and will certainly make someone very happy! Judging by the style, and positioning of the press-down clip-buttons (right side overlapping the left), and the 'M' size tag, this is meant to be a men's jacket, but can be worn by both men & women. It can be worn casually, as a high-end fashion jacket, or even as a motor-cycle jacket. Given the high quality of the leather used, as well as the superb design style, I would expect a jacket like this to retail for $1,000 to $2,000. To avoid disappointment, use the Buy It Now option, before someone else does! It could be a long while, before you see another one of these come up for sale.
