Exquisitely Charming Antique Fairy Motto Mug Adderley




Sometimes you find a beautiful piece that makes brings a huge smile to your face and this charming mug did this for me when I found it. It is so utterly enchanting!! On one side of the mug there is a beautiful pink fairy with a butterfly alighting on her hand. It reads "A Butterfly wondering where to land came to rest on a Fairys hand". On the other side is a pretty smaller lilac fairy and a pretty butterfly and it reads "The bluebell fairy went flying by chased by a bright winged butterfly". The mug is a good size being 9cm high and it is crazed. There is some chipping to the yellow paint round the rim but all in all its in lovely condition and looks absolutely gorgeous. On the base it reads Made In England Adderley Ware. A lovely item that would be a delightful christening or birth present.
